I met someone on this website 7 years ago. I was helping Russian people with English and learning more about Russian culture because I was traveling to Russia to teach English soon.

I met someone. A russian man named Yaroslav. He just wanted me to help him with English for his job. He didn’t message me and tell me I was beautiful. He wasn’t sexual. He just wanted to learn English. We video chatted a lot — his English was terrible and we could hardly speak — russian was still so difficult for me. We kept working with each other to improve our language.

After months of communicating and getting to know each other’s lives , we grew attached to each other. Love grew. He started to know things about me nobody else did. I started to love him. He came from a poor family and from a large city full of crime.

I went to his city in Russia (my program placed me there). We met. Spent 3 months together. Fell in love. Got engaged.

I came back to the USA. I was pregnant.

He came to the USA to marry me. He speaks amazing English. We have been married for almost 6 years. We have two children. We own a house. His family will be in the USA soon with us. ❤️

Moral of the story : don’t try so hard for love or a relationship. Don’t push women away with stupid pick up lines or rude, sexual comments. Let love find you. Make true connections. ❤️
