That phrase is a quote from the Gospel of John, chapter 1 verse 1. That makes clear that we should not be mistaken about the Person about Whom this verse is speaking.

I enjoyed your post reminiscing about rotary phones and the comments about boring chats. Sometimes I'd like to revive writing snail mail letters, using a nice pen... it's hard to get away with "hi, how r u? what time/weather is it?"
