Hmm, that's kind of hard to answer, there are just so many good ones out there. But if I have to pick some, then probably Licia Troisi, Jonathan Stroud, Dawn Cook and George R. R. Martin (I've recently started reading the "A Song of Ice and Fire" books after watching the first season of "Game of Thrones" and absolutely love them).
No I haven't read any of their books yet, but I've been thinking about buying Patrick Rothfuss's Kingkiller Chronicle for quite some time now, is it good?
What are your favorite authors? Are Joe Abercrombie and Patrick Rothfuss among them?
