Genuine question, because I haven't experienced harassment from people on this site (likely b/c of the absence of my real picture), so I really don't know how it is.
And usually the blocked countries are countries like Egypt, Algeria, often continent Africa, etc. Makes me think there are other motives!
To me personally, there's a huge cringe factor in blocking a country with an already subpar reputation, in the fear that it may be perceived as arrogant prejudice. Hurts my conscience, but of course I speak as a woman without experience.
