I think a lot of us here (mostly women) block certain countries because men from those countries have harassed us or made unwelcome advances far too many times for us to be comfortable with...I block a country when I start feeling like all of the men from a specific country seem to have an aggressive Make-Sexually-Demeaning-Comments-to-Anything-Female campaign in full swing. :)
